St. Martin Hall
In June 2020, Radnor alongside our equity partner, Harrison Street, acquired St. Martin Hall on the campus of Duquesne University. This represents Radnor and Harrison Street’s second joint venture investment on Duquesne’s campus. The project will complement the apartment-style housing offered at Brottier Hall with suite-style units in a mix of single- and double-occupancy accommodations. The building is currently occupied by Duquesne students under a leaseback with the University. In May 2021, redevelopment of this 1960’s building begin with reopening scheduled for the Fall 2022 semester.
After the planned enhancements, St. Martin Hall will include suite-style units with shared bathrooms, kitchenettes, and a mix of single- and double-occupancy bedrooms for students. The existing common area restrooms and lounge spaces will be converted into dedicated areas for study, group engagement, and community kitchens. The ground floor entrance will be remodeled, and upgrades to the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems will fully modernize the facility for a new generation of Duquesne students.
Following the completion of renovations, operations will be governed by a 70-year Cooperation agreement with COCM overseeing management and leasing responsibility with residence life functions undertaken by Duquesne University Residence Life.
