Duquesne University – McGinley Hall
In late 2022, Radnor began construction on McGinley Hall, its third Public Private Partnership (“P3”) with Duquesne University. The project is a new 11-story, 556-bed facility that accommodates the growing graduate population on campus and replaces outdated housing to meet the needs of modern students. McGinley Hall anchors the northern boundary of Duquesne’s campus adjacent to the new College of Osteopathic Medicine and UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse along Forbes Avenue, a Pittsburgh arterial connecting downtown with the city’s Eds-and-Meds economic base.
McGinley Hall includes a mix of studio, two-bedroom, and four-bedroom units with private bedrooms, living areas, full kitchens, and shared baths. The ground floor amenity spaces include a blend of gaming and group gathering areas, quiet study, fitness, and a convenience store offering fresh and prepackaged food options for students. The amenities are enhanced by three infill parks along the street edge which provide outdoor cooking and gathering spaces, gaming, and a public plaza for resident gatherings. The project, which is seeking a LEED Silver designation, opened prior to the Fall 2024 semester.
