Duquesne University – Forbes Hall
In late 2022 Radnor began construction on Forbes Hall, its third Public Private Partnership (“P3”) with Duquesne University. The project is a new 11-story, 556-bed facility that will accommodate the growing graduate population on campus and replace outdated housing to meet the needs of modern students. Forbes Hall will anchor the northern boundary of campus adjacent to the new College of Osteopathic Medicine and the newly constructed UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse along Forbes Avenue, a Pittsburgh arterial connecting downtown with the city’s Eds-and-Meds economic base.
Forbes Hall will include a mix of studio, two-bedroom, and four-bedroom units with private bedrooms, living areas, full kitchens, and shared baths. The ground floor amenity spaces include a blend of gaming and group gathering areas, quiet study, fitness, and a convenience store offering fresh and prepackaged food options for students. The amenities are enhanced by three infill parks along the street edge which will provide outdoor cooking and gathering spaces, gaming, and a public plaza for resident gatherings. The project, which is seeking a LEED Silver designation, will open for the Fall 2024 semester.
