Radnor Property Group Breaks Ground on Brandt Drive Apartments in North Pittsburgh Suburbs

Radnor Property Group has officially commenced construction on Brandt Drive Apartments in Cranberry Township, PA, a 264-unit, multi-family apartment complex with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units.

The 13.5 acre development will include a six-building residential community with a private courtyard for gatherings, fire pits, gas grills, and a pool. Residents will also have access to other amenities, including a fitness center, a club lounge with kitchen and fireplace, conference rooms, game rooms and work space. Walking trails are planned throughout the wooded property, connecting to a larger bike path network within the Township. Covered parking will also be available in the property’s secure garage.

“Radnor Property Group is delighted to expand our multi-family portfolio in Cranberry Township, one of Pittsburgh’s best suburban communities to live and work. We have been focused on this area for some time because of the region’s job growth in robotics and technology fields, top tier schools, and convenient retail amenities,” said David Yeager, CEO and Managing Partner of Radnor Property Group. “In addition, this transaction grows our residential presence along with our redevelopment activities in downtown Pittsburgh on Duquesne University’s campus where we own two buildings catering to Duquesne students. We are pleased to add Cranberry Township to our portfolio.”

The project is structured as a joint venture between Radnor and a Fortune 100 insurance company, with Citizens Bank as lender. The development is expected to open in phases from Summer 2022 to Summer 2023. “Citizens is excited to continue our lending relationship with Radnor. We are confident that Radnor’s multi-family development experience will deliver a best-in class community in Cranberry Township, PA,” states Charles English, Senior Vice President, Citizens Bank.

Pieper O’Brien Herr Architects designed the community with features including 9-foot ceilings and balconies in every unit, stainless steel appliances, wood cabinets, quartz countertops, and under-counter mounted stainless steel sinks. Closets will be generous in size, and laundry rooms are included in each unit. HRG served as civil engineer and landscape architect for the project and DGA Builders of Rochester, NY is the construction manager.

“Cranberry is a dynamic market with a diverse employment base, ample retail offerings, and convenient highway access to Interstate 79 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike,” said Tim Gigliotti, Managing Director at Radnor. “The Brandt Drive location offers easy highway access to professionals working throughout Greater Pittsburgh.”
