Radnor Shortlisted as Finalist for Multiple 2024 P3 Awards, Including “Developer of the Year”

Radnor Property Group, a leading real estate & infrastructure development company focused on public private partnerships (P3) across the U.S., has been shortlisted as a finalist for The 2024 P3 Awards. The company was nominated for four total awards, more than any other development company this year.

Radnor was selected as one of four finalists for “Developer Sponsor of the Year”. Also, The Innovation District in partnership with Appalachian State University was nominated for three separate awards, including “Best Higher Education Project”, “Best Social Infrastructure Project”, and “Best Utilities Project”. These four nominations underscore Radnor’s strong track record in executing innovative P3 solutions and delivering exceptional on-campus projects in the real estate & infrastructure space.

The P3 Awards, organized by P3 Bulletin, recognizes excellence and innovation for industry leaders and projects that follow the P3 model. Winners are selected by expert judges based on their experience in delivering top-tier infrastructure projects for their selected category. This marks the first time that Radnor has been nominated for “Sponsor Developer of the Year”. The three other finalists for the distinguished award include Edgemoor, Gilbane, and Plenary Americas.

“We are honored to be selected as a finalist for four separate P3 Awards this year”, said David Yeager, President of Radnor Property Group. “As we approach our 25th anniversary since our founding, these nominations are a testament to the collaborative, fiduciary-first approach that we engender with our institutional partners on all our P3 engagements across the higher education and healthcare spectrum. We are very grateful to the Appalachian State University team for their partnership and trust in undertaking such an important project and executing their zero-carbon goals.”

The Innovation District at Appalachian State University is a multi-phased development initiative encompassing facilities for academics, research, housing, and sustainable energy. The first phase includes: (1) a cross-disciplinary research facility totaling 55,000 SF; (2) faculty & staff housing totaling 156 units and 175,000 SF; and (3) a carbon-zero district energy system that will begin to transition the campus away from steam power. Subsequent phases will include additional academic and housing uses. Radnor was selected as master developer in 2022 and will begin delivering the first phase in 2025 in partnership with Harrison Street Real Estate Capital.

Winners for The P3 Awards will be announced during an awards ceremony on October 24th in New York City.
